The introductory lesson of Entrusted with a Child’s Heart lets you know that there is one overarching goal of the study: to encourage you!
Encouragement means to “give courage” or “to imbue with courage for the course ahead, giving confidence and hope in the One (Jesus) who is always with us. (i.2) Put simply, to encourage means to fill you with the assurance that “I can do this!”
Why can you do this? Because you can have confidence in Jesus.
How should you begin? With a heart willing to listen to what His Word says.
What will today hold? You may not know, but the Lord is near.
This isn’t about your strengths or weaknesses, how you failed yesterday or the day before or what you managed to hold together. This is about you moving forward with the Lord today, relying on His strength, surrendered to His will, pointing your children to Him.
2 Peter 1:3 says, “For His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.” (NASB)
Who is this God that is always with us? Here we are told,
He is divine.
He is glorious.
He is excellent.
And He equips you with everything you need for today!
